While Mining and Power is a Level 4 B-BBEE certified, women-owned business, the directors of Mining and Power acknowledge the need to transform the South African business environment to broaden the inclusion of previously disadvantaged South Africans, as advocated in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes of Good Practice.

Kambo Industrial Supplies, which has a 26% black equity partner, has been established to ensure full compliance with the Codes and to facilitate participation in the opportunities available to a business of this nature.

Kambo Industrial Supplies has two shareholders, both of whom have been an integral part of Mining and Power for some time. Karen Douglas brings a wealth of business experience to the new company while Annanias Sambo has an in-depth understanding of the company’s operations.
